Scott A. Jones, 2008 Parade of Home ChairmanThis entire weekend would not be possible without the help and participation of all the builder members and associates who work so hard to maintain the high standards the Dothan area has come to expect. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the participants for their hard work and dedication to making the 2008 Parade of Homes a success. The Home Builders Association would like to extend an invitation to everyone to attend our Ribbon Cutting at 105 Hedgerose Lane at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 16th. This home, built by Bart Liddon in Longleaf Green, is located within the Grove Park Subdivision. This year’s opening ceremony home is certified as a “green” home which had to meet strict standards in green building to receive its certification. The homes on this year’s Parade will be available for viewing from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16th, and from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17th, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18th.
I would like to introduce our theme for the Parade this year as “Your Dream Home of Tomorrow Is Built Today. Go With A Pro.” With interest rates at historical lows, now is the time to purchase your new home, and that new home is available today and waiting in the Parade of Homes. I would like to thank you in advance for giving us a visit and making this year’s Parade a success. After all, we are building these homes for the families of tomorrow.
Ribbon Cutting Home
105 Hedgerose Lane - Grove ParkPerfectly proportioned dormers, true sash windows and a copper-roofed box bay give this Colonial Revival home a facade that is both timeless and welcoming. To the right of the elegant foyer is a cathedral-ceiling study that can double as a bedroom with the addition of a closet and direct access to a full bath. A truly stunning great room perfectly fits today’s lifestyles. It is open, yet utilizes ceiling, wall and floor treatments to create a room of extraordinary livability as well as a place for entertaining family and friends. Gracious hospitality seems effortless in the well-equipped kitchen. A cozy sunroom adjoins the great room, creating the perfect spot for lounging or conversation with a friend. The secluded master suite overlooks a private courtyard. The master bath features a large shower under an expansive skylight, giving the space an airy, greenhouse feeling. The master closet features built-in hutches, a fold-down ironing board and a full-length mirror. A flexible secondary bedroom with its own walk-in closet and luxurious bath makes an ideal guest room or home office. The laundry is sensibly located near the bedrooms. This home provides a level of elegance, function, comfort and safety you will find in no other home in Dothan. |
Decorator's Showcase Home
209 Conifer Court - Grove ParkIt’s hard to imagine any house more in tune with today’s lifestyles than 209 Conifer Court in Longleaf Green. The great room is designed for gracious hospitality as well as a spot to relax at the end of the day. The well-designed kitchen makes food prep easy and entertaining a pleasure. French doors lead to a Southern-style rear porch and grilling patio. The serene master suite features a master bath with separate vanities, a large master shower and whirlpool tub. A large master closet makes life easy with a dressing hutch and a built-in ironing board. The light-filled, loft-style upstairs can be customized to suit the owner... additional bedrooms, game room, home office, hobby room, whatever the need. A portion of this level can be left unfinished, enabling home’s square footage to range from 1700 to 3000 square feet. All this within the pedestrian friendly community of Grove Park, complete with a beautiful old-style city park. |
